And the journey begins…

Here we go, my first blog post! I’m very excited to see where this blog will take me. I don’t really have any expectations, and so it will be interesting to see what comes of it.  I suppose my main purpose for blogging is to share my day-to-day thoughts, moments and creations. I imagine this blog will primarily be about my kids, Max and Emmy, my hubby, Jeremiah, as well as my random DIY crafts.  I suppose since I will be talking a lot about my family, I should tell you a bit about them.
Jeremiah is my wonderful husband.  I don’t like to get too mushy online, but let me just say he is truly my other half.  He is the sweetest and kindest man you’ll ever meet.  I’m one lucky gal.
My daughter, Emmy, is an absolute hoot. She is about to turn two and loves to talk! And talk, and talk, and talk.  She has a wonderful vocabulary and Jeremiah and I often times have no clue where she picks up the things she says.  For example, the other day her nanny, Margaret came over and Emmy ran up to her and said, “It’s so nice to see you again!” What?! I mean, what 2 year old says that?! Not only does Emmy love to talk, she has a heart of gold.  She is so aware of other’s emotions and never wants to hurt anyone’s feelings. She is happiest when she sees that the people around her are happy. When I had Emmy, I screamed, “That’s my baby! That’s MY baby!” And she will forever remain “my baby”.
My son, Max, is my chunky little lovebug.  When he was born he was a twig of a baby…and now at 6 weeks he weighs 16 pounds! Obviously, he’s never missed a feeding.  And he’s now starting to smile and “coo”, which are two things I just can’t get enough of, but at the same time, I already feel like he’s growing up too fast!
So, that is my lovely family.  To end this post, I think I’ll post a picture of all of them because I don’t know about you, but I like being able to put a face to the name. And now I’m off to bed…thanks for stopping by!  xoxo

What a happy day that was...
